A Full-Day, Integrated Program That Prepares Your Child for Lifelong Success

If you’re seeking more than just therapy sessions – and want a full-day, immersive program that blends evidence-based ABA with occupational, physical, and speech therapy – our Comprehensive Autism Day Program may be the right fit.

Designed specifically for autistic children ages 2–6, this unique program runs Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, in our welcoming, state-of-the-art clinic. It’s a school-day rhythm built for therapeutic growth – offering your child consistent structure, caring support, and opportunities to learn through play, exploration, and connection.

What Sets Our Program Apart?

Families choose our Day Program because of its unique combination of personalized attention and integrated therapies. Here’s what sets us apart:

Specialized Multi-Sensory Environment

Children benefit from carefully tailored sensory-processing sessions in our unique sensory rooms, promoting calmness, focus, and sensory integration.

Integrated Group Activities

Your child participates in therapeutic group activities co-led by multiple disciplines—such as feeding groups, sensory-based art activities, social skills sessions, and adaptive physical education—to encourage well-rounded development and peer interaction.

Personalized, Intensive 1:1 Support

Every child benefits from dedicated 1:1 ABA support throughout their day.

Interdisciplinary Team Approach

Each classroom includes full-time certified occupational therapy and speech therapy assistants, creating a cohesive therapeutic environment where your child learns continuously through play, circle time, and specialized activities.

Direct Occupational, Physical, and Speech Therapy

Your child receives individualized therapy weekly. On days without direct sessions, our therapists seamlessly integrate support into daily activities like mealtimes and playground interactions.

Family Empowerment and Support

We encourage families to attend their child’s OT, SP or PT sessions once a month, as well as parent training meetings with BCBAs, to ensure your family feels fully supported and involved in your child’s journey. In-home sessions offered upon request.

Proven, Measurable Outcomes

Every child’s journey looks different, but every milestone matters.

As your child develops new skills, it’s natural to wonder how therapy is helping them grow. At The Talcott Center, we regularly measure progress using standardized assessments, individualized treatment goals, and ongoing collaboration with families.

Day Program Results

Based on Talcott’s historical Day Program VB-MAPP data.

  • 80% average developmental-level gap closed toward age‑expected functioning
  • 56% increase in developmental skills
  • 57% decrease in developmental barriers
  • 85% advanced at least one developmental level; 63% advanced two developmental levels

These results reflect overall program outcomes, while your child’s progress will depend on their individual strengths, goals, and response to treatment.
