We are gearing up for the best summer
EVER!
This
year, we have redesigned our summer camp programs! We have developed a
multisensory program designed to support your child’s sensory motor and language
needs. Each 3 hour camp will focus on the development of social, motor and
language skills through exciting and motivating activities planned and
implemented by our skilled occupational therapists and speech language
pathologists.
With the
exception of Camp Rock, all other camp sessions will be pulling in a variety of
theme based activities, as opposed to focusing on one individual theme each
week.
|
|
Our summer camp programs will be running 4 days per week, either 9am
– 12pm or 1pm – 4pm. Camp programs are formed based on a child’s
age and ability. Please contact our front office staff or your
child’s Talcott clinician, to determine the best fit for your
child.
Camp will be running the following weeks and times:
July 11-14th:
1-4pm
August 1-4th:
9am-12pm
1pm – 4pm
August 8-11th:
9am – 12pm
1pm – 4pm: Camp Rock
August 15-18th:

1pm – 4pm: Camp Rock
Camp Rock

rock! Unleash your inner rock star as we get hands on time with
REAL instruments. So grab your drum sticks and your guitar picks
because we will be performing and recording our own rock songs!
This week, your rocker will leave with their very own recorded
version of the soon to be, number one chart hit!
See it in

Social and Emotional Regulation Group
This group is geared towards improving emotional regulation and
social skills. This program is appropriate for children who need to
improve the ability to identify emotional regulation levels as well
as children who misinterpret social situations. These children may
present as emotionally reactive or may shut down when they find
themselves in an interaction they have difficulty understanding.
Coping strategies (sensory, cognitive, and behavioral) will be
taught to replace maladaptive responses to dysregulating
situations. Children will also learn the language needed to
navigate social situations and will be presented with opportunities
to apply and practice their developing skills.
Wednesday’s 6-7pm (time subject to change)
